The vast majority of the fandom is going to disagree with me, but so be it. In all honesty: Book 2: Spirits is my favorite Book of TLOK. From an objective standpoint, there are better books, but spirits is my favorite because to me it really felt like the avatar franchise went back to its roots. Amons Revolution was cool, but the whole political thriller thing Isnt my cup of tea. I think the avatar franchise excels more in spiritual matters than political ones. spirits definitely had its flaws but no book has had higher stakes or the same level of buildup as it did. The Red Lotus and Kuvira were cool but they didnt hold my interest as much because neither of them could top the stakes of an anti-Christ to the avatar and 10,000 years of darkness. ~Red Lotus
