The veil or Hijab of the Muslimah at once represents the sublime - TopicsExpress

The veil or Hijab of the Muslimah at once represents the sublime nature and fullness of the woman. Like God is veiled from the creation, revealing Himself to the deserving seeker and lover, likewise the Muslimah reveals herself to the most deserving and not anyone who desires a gaze. So the Hijabi becomes like the archetypal beloved Layla who is sought after in Sufi lore by the lover Majnun; which is a personification of God and His ardent slave, who is annihilated by divine love. #ThursdayReflections
