The very latest on my sweet girl. Just spoke with the headache coordinator from Dr. Branchs office (Maine). Said she read my lengthy summary (I said novel) twice before comprehending just how much Emerson has gone through and for how long. Said not to sound like a salesperson, but in the six years shes been working with Dr. Branch on this surgery, she has never seen a child go through so much for so long. Ever. Said it broke her heart and that she wished she were a very wealthy person and shed fly out today, come get us, and bring her back for surgery by the weekend. She made me cry. I have some more paperwork I have to get to her, then she will meet with Dr. Branch and discuss all of this. Next step, will be a phone consult or a CT of her sinuses. Whichever he suggests first. That will be interesting to get a local doctor to call in that specific CT scan, but Im going to call in on some friends and make that happen sooner than later if its necessary. Small hurdle, but still a hurdle. I know insurance will deny it, even with the most persistent appeals. I have to understand that going in. Pray specifically for: 1) Insurance approval 2) Sinus CT scan ordered and administered quickly and easily 3) Sooner than later surgical date, if we do this, as Alexandria does have a little graduation thing going on in the near future. 4) Travel arrangements
