The very nicest things repeated & said to me when I returned from my month in the USA, were about my posting my "What happens in Las Vegas Stays in Las Vegas rehearsal RRFLMAO for Marriage!" I was told it caused a stir with my "mates" happy for me, yet afraid I would never return to Australia! Again thanks for being the greatest friends & thanks to those who rang to tell me "all about those things we are not usually privy to hear, that our friends express!". I LOVE YOU BUNCH. You are my family & always will be! I do miss my 26yr old "Wedding Chapel hubby" His handyman skills would be useful right now as well!! LOL After living in desert all his life, with USA politeness, his passion for flowers he would blossom in "our Melbourne world" if anyone cares to sponser him into a job. (message me) OH did I mention USA POLITENESS .. yes really !! So many locals spoke of being embarrassed by the TV & MOVIE portrayials & stories about arrogant excessive patriotism some show when they travel overseas etc & the obnoxious few, who give those at home a bad reputation. (Interesting that sort of "need to defend" mindset I experienced on a regular basis.) I found so much that could be learnt from the way people made public travel, work & serving fun over there with a lot of heart & kindness openly expressed. Interestingly, I also saw the police there handle with much skill using their own judgement and kindness to defuse & support rather than punish. My one big SHOCK was at Williams on the way to the Grand Canyon, where people spoke of 4yr olds taught to use guns. The "reasoning" was that the private prison system takes shortcuts so a few times a year, "so called" dangerous prisoners escape and everyone is put on alert & armed. FEAR is such a CONTROLLING FACTOR. Guns really are the fear. Imagining a 4yr old could defend against or outsmart a streetsmart convicted escapeee wise enogh to escape seems ludicrise to me! .. Hmm .. better get DOING! .. xxx
