The very words CHRIST MAS have been literally torn asunder. Christmas is a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, decades and centuries have taken a toll on traditions and customs alike. This day has now been commercialized with the gift of giving. To many the gift of giving is represented in cash value, leaving many out of pocket for a smile that was bribed as if showing affection means more with a price tag. We as consumers have fed into the commercialized market consistently without fail, year after year, as if programed to hand over our money knowing very well the hype of the season has a corresponding impact on mark-up value. Sure, tis the season to be jolly. But why only have one season to be jolly and not all 4? Well, I dont mean to take the fun out of a marvelous festive season, I just wanted to reflect on what the original day of Christmas actually represents.
