The video below is from 2012, but the familys pain and heartache is felt each year as the anniverary of their sons senseless and tragic murder approaches. And each year they promote a fund raiser for SPAY-LEE rescue in honor of their late son, Nathan. Ive included the text of the familys e-mail to me announcing the event. Debbie was one of the SPAY-LEE volunteers who took turns bringing our Scarlett back from deaths doorstep, staying in her kennel with her at night, holding her, cooking hamburger, chicken, eggs, you name it to coax her to eat . . . meanwhile watching her get worse before she got better. Please donate anything that you can to this wonderful and worthwhile event - do it for the animals, do it for Nathan.
