The vile and disgraceful fb posting by a HTBOD member has been removed as it is most offensive. Foolishly thinking that this posting would be unseen by those she attacks, this individual viciously comments on issues of great personal sensitivity for these former shelter volunteers. That other HTBOD members and shelter staff like these comments is equally shameful. This posting is not so different from other judgmental social media comments by board members demeaning those who surrender their pets . Why would asking legitimate questions about shelter management and activities of the BOD result in personal assaults? Are the questions too difficult to answer or do they reveal some unpleasant realities? It would seem that others who are concerned for the welfare of shelter animals and who are advocates and activists for a new facility must misunderstand what they have witnessed for all too long - that some individuals responsible for the management of the shelter are self-absorbed with ego, power, self-promotion and have no concern for the people they damage or destroy in their quest for their own recognition .. That this individual concludes her comments by asking God to show them the way is insulting to these individuals and their many successful efforts on behalf of the sheltered animals . More appropriately, she and others who demonstrate the same behavior, might ask God for forgiveness for their immoral conduct. It should come as no surprise that comments on facebook or through emails may become public and reveal the true character of the person(s) posting them.
