The visionary or ecstatic experience is unsettling to the religious community. Of course it is... how dare anyone experience divinity personally??? No, only if theres some title holding charlatan there to guide(thwart and manipulate your experience to their convenience) you... only then can you find truth.... What a joke... I respect every path as every path is valid(coming from love) but anyone claiming psychedelics are a shortcut has it twisted. On the contrary, they require so much inner work and strength when on the spiritual path... much more so than any meditation as meditation involves little to no risk(no hard work required, simply patience, lol) while it really takes a light warrior to travel the realms where real growth is achieved through actual effort and intent to expand ones consciousness... With psychedelics you actually have to face and purge yourself, you experience the shattering of the ego, death, and other extremely intense obstacles in order to gain anything from it... Meditation is the easy way out in my book... and thats totally ok, I am fully aware not all have the inner strength for the psychedelic path, just dont look down upon those who actually do have the strength/inner light and are bearing the weight those others were unable to bear... If the most spiritual peoples in history made gratuitous use of these teachers it was for a reason.
