The vote in the MS House today was 64 - 57 against public education. Well, not exactly, but essentially that was the divide. Most, if not all, the 64 will tell you that they support public education, but they surely dont want fund it adequately. Lee county representatives Brian Aldridge, Randy Boyd, and Jerry Turner voted to try and stop the Constitutional Amendment 42 that will require school funding. Holland voted to support schools. As a Republican, I am embarrassed that those against schools were Republicans!
