The votes have been cast and Thad Cochran won. I had a sneaking suspicion that this awful race would not be over tonight. The proper thing to do would be to concede, but I guess that is not going to happen. It is this obstinacy that I do not like. Nothing will ever get done in Washington without compromise. Throwing a temper tantrum is not becoming of a proper US Senator candidate, which is why, in my humble opinion, it came down the way it did. I also add that it should be commended that someone can mobilize both their own party and the opposing party to come together for your campaign. Way to go Thad!
