The voting booths, which no longer have curtains or levers, poll watchers at the 92nd Street Y say, are making it very hard for the elderly to vote, there and everywhere. A wheelchair or walker will not fit into the cubicle where paper ballots require filling in the little balloons. And that requires coloring within the lines, which those with arthritic hands cant do. These are our most reliable voters. What happens to turnout if they show up, see whats required of them and have to leave?
