The wait is finally over. We are racing in Austin,Texas this weekend!! Yesterday was a prep day out at the circuit. A few meetings, signing on, a track walk, and finally a full team dinner in Austin (100 people at the track to run the #20 and #14 Porsche 919 hybrids!) Today we have two 90 minute practice session, qualifying and more practice tomorrow, and finally our race is saturday evening. (schedule pictured) We are expecting some stormy rain today and tomorrow but looks likely we will have a dry race. Temps are high and humid!! Felt like a sauna when we walked the track yesterday.. All the boys have worked hard since Le Mans and we have brought a new aero package to the race this weekend, we all have high hopes. We know how much we have improved since Le Mans, but we dont know how much the competitors have (they will not have been sleeping). Im anyway optimistic we will be fighting for the top steps come saturday evening :) Will keep you all posted. BH
