The waste pickers of #Swach, along with the members of #DeepGriha #NGO came together to tackle the issue of #cleanliness. An initiative by #MusicMatters, This was a one of a kind event in India where music was created out of junk #percussion to instil values of cleanliness in people. 40 #Socialworkers trained each day with 40 #musicians across #Pune, every day for an entire week. In a 7 minute exhilarating performance that caught the attention of the thousands who came to shop at the mall that Sunday evening. The percussion #flashmob shouted slogans like “Swach India Clean India” with the intention to spread cleanliness in an exceptional manner, using household items like buckets and other junk as percussion instruments along with #Djembes, #lajems, drum sticks, tambourines, shakers etc.. The team of 80 people were trained by Arthur Fernandes, A Psychologist, Musician and Arts Based Therapist. A fun activity for everyone, the flash mob proved to be a real treat to the people watching.
