The wearisome trend of robbing the people off their votes through cheap offers of food and paltry sums now tagged STOMACHE INFRASTRUCTURE has taken a new dimension because its the cheapest tool to brainwash/influence the people to vote. The trend: politicians give food that cant get the people through a week to buy the decision for a whole season (4yrs) and the people feeling lucky ignorantly gladly accepts and pay a highly democratically priced vote without bothering the quality of these politicians. Usual ignorant scenario: the people haven spent good monies and time attending political meeting which stands as their investments accepts gifts thats not worth 5% of what they have put in only to mortgage their right to good governance for a season. Many pay more to get little and waste more. This STOMACHE INfRASTRUCTURE now rebranded and repackaged by our politicians country wide is selling fast and seemingly effective in the hands of our ogas at the top. In those days these items comes in nyllon bags, but now in branded bags with bold inscription of politician and the mission which stands as contract as condition for accepting it. We all know when these offers comes: pre election periods and not after. After these exchange. Nothing happens until another season. My worries: Is this the way it will continue? Who will stop this trend? Who will advise the people on how to choose? Who will tell these. Politicians to change style? Who will let the people know the actual value of one vote? Can the people realise theres no government without them? Can the people know the real or Fake politician? Can the people know the duties owed them by all politicians they voted in? Can we have an election without the STOMACHE INFRASTRUCTURE tool? Can there be a change in trend of election and governance in Nigeria? Be a crusader, be the change. Yes! We can.
