The weather forecast over the next few days is calling for very cold temperatures. We are looking at actual temperatures around zero and wind chills sub-zero. Please make sure you prepare yourself for these cold temperatures. When sending your kids out to the bus stop, make sure they are dressed appropriately and if possible let them wait in your residence or a vehicle. Please take extra care for the elderly as these extreme cold temperatures can be very hard on them. Also, please make sure your pets are being taken care of. We ask that you do not leave them outside with out any protection and try to have warm areas for them to go to. If possible make room in a garage if they cannot be brought into a residence. Last, make sure your vehicle is ready for the weather. This weather can be very hard on your vehicle when starting. Please make sure you have the proper items if you would become stranded either due to a dead battery or due to running off the road and becoming stranded. The police department suggest you keep blankets in your car and something you can snack on. Also, make sure you have a full battery on your cell phone.
