The week ahead is jam-packed full of Serious events, kicking off with jazz legend Chick Corea at Barbican Centre and Magos Herrera & Javier Limón: Dawn at Norfolk & Norwich Festival tonight. Guardian music hailed Phronesis tour as a MUST-SEE this week, with the first show at NNF tomorrow, followed Bridport The Electric Palace on Wednesday and Bristol Colston Hall on Friday. Tuesday also brings Riot Jazz, and a completely sold-out Madeleine Peyroux show to NNF, plus Magos & Limon make their ONLY London appearance at Union Chapel. Hugh Masekela plays NNF on Wednesday, whilst Penguin Cafe join the festivities at Bury St Edmunds Festival. On Thursday were back at Union Chapel with chart-topping Dutch harpist Lavinia Meijer, and from there she travels to Bury St Edmunds on Friday, NNF on Saturday and The Hay Festival on Sunday. S. Carey (of Bon Iver) brings his new album to Village Underground on Thursday, whilst over in Norwich Toumani Diabate takes to the stage with his son, Sidiki Diabate. We end the week with a sold-out Molotov Jukebox show in Norwich, followed by Taraf de Haidouks at St Georges, Bristol on Sunday. Will you be coming along to any of the above?
