The weekend that was: Many many thanks to those who made Mheshimiwas trip a success: We began the program on Saturday by attending the burials for the victims of the ill-fated boat at Siginga crossing point. Our first destination was Bulwani where we laid to rest the first victim. We then proceeded to Namalo village for the burial of Mama Marita Gumo after which we were in Rugunga, Siginga and lastly Sisenye where we laid other victims. Then came Sunday where we began our day at Baro-Bet village in Ugenya constituency where we laid to rest the three kids from the same family who were schooling in Rugunga primary. It was indeed a sad and sombre mood. May the good Lord who reigns above grant the deceased a permanent and peaceful resting place above. The highlight of Hon. Ababus itinerary home was H.E the Presidents visit...a big big thanks to the Budalangi residents for the warmest reception you accorded the head of state, and the maturity you exhibited during his 21/2 hour stay with you; yall were an amazing crowd, he was indeed overwhelmed.
