The weirdest thing about being a black man being choked by the police, Chappelle said, is that you dont even wonder why its happening. You just think, OK, here we go. Ive said virtually nothing on the recent events in America (either online or in person), because of what Chappelle has given voice to here. Hes speaking explicitly about being choked by the police, but the same statement could be made about being black in America in general. Ive been a black male in America for 32 years and dealing with the racism here is indescribably exhausting. All I can do at this point is say OK, here we go.
