The west coast college football teams are always about speed, but are too light in the ass to compete. The Midwest, south, Mideast southwest college teams have more cornbread fed, wide body players (not a dish of tofu in sight, and if it was it would be drizzled with bacon fat). In the pit whether offense or defense they just cant move those mammoth, 4.8 running, 400lb lifting tackles and company. I looked it up and in the last 59 years the west has only won 9 national titles—the most being USC, followed by BYU and Washington. And for argument sake I still think TCU, with their speed AND power would have beat either team. And finally, our great classy coach at TCU, Gary Patterson would NEVER have scored another touchdown with a minute and a half or so to go. The game was won. But I havent heard ANY criticism of the normally classy Coach Meyers—but lets hope he was just caught up in the moment. On second thought, no, he knows better.
