It also means less congestion and less pollution. cars / vans etc take up a lot of space on the roads and there is normally just the driver in each vehicle. Drivers need to think to look further than their nose and look out for riders, the more riders there are, the less congested the roads will be. Fools need to realise vehicle tax is based on emissions! that is why Smart cars and Hybrids / Electric cars pay ZERO tax, Motorbikes is also very cheap. Yes, there are some bad riders BUT there are also some bad drivers. Some of the bicycles you see on the roads are worth more than the average car, the chances are they are insured, also they have probably got a car or 2 at home but prefer to ride for the reasons above. The bad thing about riding is the fools behind the steering wheel driving their metal cages protecting them!
