The wind and the rain combined, Stronger than ever before, Unleashing its force on the Philippines shore, Not many could have predicted what was in store, That more than 10,000 would live no more, That more that 1,000,000 would be left without a home, That so many would be left without food, Scavenging through the rubble hoping to find what ever little that might be left behind, Hungry and dying they cling to life by the string of hope, Hoping that you and I in distant lands, Will somehow their suffering understand, And that we would not neglect to lend a helping hand, To help brother and sisters who have fallen, To once again make a stand, As they bury their dead, babies are born and most be fed, So please dont turn away your head, I know the suffering is much to bear, but the burden is always lighter when we share, So let us show them that we care, And that which was flatten will stand again stronger in the air.
