The wind this afternoon was quite strong, to the point that, while I was riding home from work with two other people (both randoms, but we were a similar speed, so I was kind of riding with them), we rounded a corner and were physically stopped in our tracks due to the intensity of the wind. No joke, we had to walk our bikes until there was a slightly more sheltered down hill part, and even then we had to pedal quite hard. I would like to emphasise, we had to pedal quite hard going DOWN a hill. It was the toughest 5km bike ride I have ever done. Though, in hindsight, it would have been quite amusing for the people watching from their cars.
