The woke up to rain today... But did that stop us? No way! We went to Slovenia. Two border stops and a toll for entering the country and we were off ( sort of ... First we drove around for gas in Zagreb for 20 Minutes.. Finally filled the car 596.00 Kuna. Only to find gas on freeway every 10 km) We arrived at Predjama castle...built in 1202. Part cave part castle. Amazing: outside was jousting area and a WC which cost 1 euro (clearly not from the Middle Ages). Photos are of various room, water system, torture are, floor, details of wood work, cannon balls, views from turret windows, one of only two bridges in the castle,the upper caves, where the dogs were kept and of course Hans lying down on the job!
