The word Difussion refers to the movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration. This movement can simply be examplified by a teacher and learner example. The teacher who has more content knowledge on the particular subject moves the knowledge from himself to the learner whose knowledge is limited in a way in the particular subject. When you have knowledge apply the discussion process and move it from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration. Th process of Osmosis on the other hand refers to the movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration through what is called a semi permeable membrane. A semi permeable membrane allows certain molecules to pass through but prevents others to pass. In a way, the semi permeable membrane chooses what passes and what doesnt. It chooses between what is good and what is not. The above processes are so applicable in our daily lives. When you have more knowledge to share with others, you apply the process of diffusion. The recipient of the knowledge applies the process of osmosis to check the relevance of the knowledge. But here is the issue everywhere we go, our friends, family, colleagues, supervisors will always pass information to us. The media will do the same. But is all these information and fodder fed to us important to us? We are all born with our own Semi permeable membrane. Our own semi permeable membrane should help us to sift what is good from what is bad for us. Are we utilising our semi permeable membrane effectively and efficiently? I pray that God should help us to discover our OWN semi permeable membrane to help us. HOLY SPIRIT , guide us, teach us to separate between the good and the bad. You havery the POWER INSIDE of you to SIFT between GOOD and BAD. May God bless you this Saturday!
