The word called usually arrives shrouded in mystery. Many people think being called of God means that there is some special purpose for your life, that you are elite or something really special compared to others. Of course there are people who are called to be pastors, speakers, teachers, etc. But those arent the only callings. We are all called. We are all called to live our lives set apart for the good purpose of Gods Kingdom. We are called to live holy lives pleasing to God. We are called to die to self and live for Jesus. We are called to live out our unique giftings for His glory. All are called, but only a few really answer. Will you? The crucified life is not an easy life. The Bible shows us that its a life filled with struggle, but also a life profoundly meaningful. Its a life that counts. Its a life for the Gospel. Lord, help me to live out the call you have for my life. Help me to sacrifice, really sacrifice my will for Yours. Help me live for Your glory, not mine. Holy Spirit lead as you may. Give me the courage to follow. Amen.
