The words of the Israeli National Anthem, HaTikvah (The Hope), - TopicsExpress

The words of the Israeli National Anthem, HaTikvah (The Hope), sung at a memoriam today in Israel for the three young boys, should be redundant: Lihheeot Am Chofshi BArtzeinu. (To be a Free Nation in our own Land). It should go without saying that we are free to live in our own land...without mothers fearing their children will be kidnapped and murdered. The murder of Eyal, Neftali, and Gilad, three teenage civilian students (ages 16 and 19) by Hamas, who only weeks ago entered into a unity government with the Palestinian Authority shows that we are not yet free, even in our own land. Anyone that can sympathize with the plight of three mothers that kissed their children in the morning before they went to school but never to see them again should recognize what Israel sings for when it sings its National Anthem. Especially today. The day we discovered their bodies in a hidden shallow grave in the desert. Baruch Dayan Emet. May their souls rise in Heaven. I pray that we make their lives and deaths count for something. That is my Tikvah.
