The workshop meeting was last night at Grain Valley City hall. I was not surprised with anything that happened. The city brought in their sound expert and basically supported everything the city has done. He said that their 65 db was a level that some tracks have. I could tell he had been schooled to promote the cities views. I asked their sound expert where these track were that operated at 65db. He said he will send me their contact information. He also told me that the the other tracks that were grandfathered meant nothing that one had just been shut down that was grandfathered. He also told me that home owners have more rights than businesses no matter how long the business has been there and how long the home owners have lived there. I think I see where the city is headed with this but I could be wrong. The city has offered nothing in the way of any compromise. He also said that according the the sound study of 2010 and the one this year the track is louder now. We will see how it proceeds.
