The workshop of Heribert Glassl: Heribert Glassl was one of the great brass instrument makers. Ill write more about him as I remember. I visited him at his workshop near Frankfurt some years ago and photographed many of his instruments. (I also bought about two dozen.) Hes well known for building traditional German style trombones and even sackbuts. But he wasnt stuck in that era. He also built fiberglass and carbon fiber concert tubas and modern trombones. Below is a traditional German tenor trombone he made with the quart rotor, but its built in the modern open wrap style. How many of these are there? (Probably one.)
