The world has lost a beautiful woman who made Allards Corners a more kinder, gentler place. Youd think it was my mom or grandma who taught me to cook and sew, but it really wasnt. It was my 4-H leader, Norma Comfort. Yes, this woman had the patience of a saint and taught decades of young people how to be more sufficient individuals. If you had the pleasure of having her in your life in any capacity, be it 4-H, church, or the local farm community, then you know just what I mean. One time I did really horrible at a public presentation as I forgot all of my mixing bowls. I panicked during it and she came up and quietly and calmly said, Lets just see what we can do. When I came home and my mom asked how I did, Mrs Comfort didnt say I messed up. Rather, she beamed with pride and said, Oh just wonderful. It was such a learning experience. I know shes in heaven right now probably making her famous petite cream puffs for the folks up there with her. 💕
