The world seems to be on fire, so I am trying to focus on the flames in my own backyard. We need legislation and federal intervention to help these children and, in the greater picture, the stability and security of our neighbors is more important than long debates on whether Israel or Hamas is the more culpable. What is your community doing (or the nearest affected community) to help these kids? If there is nothing else you can do, find out where your Congressperson stands on the issue, and tell him/her/it that immigrant children are people, just like corporations!
