The worst thing that could happen to someone is to think that they are doing what Jesus and God expects them to be doing, but they are doing the opposite, and they dont even know it. Just because John 3:16 say that you will not perish if you believe in Jesus, believing is not all thats attached to that. Jesus is not making statements like in Mt. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; (Hosea 8:2 Israel cries out to me, O our God, we acknowledge you! Matthew 25:11 Later the others also came. Sir! Sir! they said. Open the door for us! John 13:13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I am. 1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus be cursed, and no one can say, Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.)(Mt. 3:2 and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.) but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Mt. 12:50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother. There is a big word, (IF), that must be taken into consideration first. And there is only one way you can do Gods will, and that is by reading the love letter that He sent to you and learning what it say. 22 Many will say to me in that day, (Mt. 10:15 I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. ) Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Away from me, all you evildoers! ) 23 And then will I profess unto them , I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Who is Jesus talking to? Is it you because you listen to your preacher when he told you if you give to my church and do things the way I say it, you will be saved? Those who have the best chance of making it through the second death are those who read Gods word for themselves, and get there understanding directly from the Lord.
