The write-up on OUR WORDS wont be complete,if we dont discuss Our Words as it relates to others... We have established that we build our lives by sowing the seed of Right Words.. So also,we build the lives of others by sowing the seed of right words. Words carry creative power... God created the word through his word. He said“Let there be....”And there was... God kept on creating...until he created Man.. After he created Man..he rested...he did not create anything again.. Rather he gave man the mandate to continue creating.. Prosper!create!fill earth!take charge!(Gen 1:27) In order words he was saying I have given You a template...continue the work of creation..the same creative power of words that I have, resides in You...Use your words to create your world.. The funny thing is that Satan understands this principle and he Uses it as his number one tactic to destroy the body of christ... How? by using the mouth of those who claim to be christians to tear down each other and invariably the church... Is it not funny how the same words that is Gods main weapon to build us up is the devils main weapon to tear us down? Too often such people cant lay hold of the good things of God,they have a failure image...these people are so despondent and depressed that they are never able to rise above their state in life..simply because of the WORDS of others...often by those in the home or the church.. What do you say about others? What do you say about others when they are not there to defend themselves? Are you using your mouth to exhort and edify,or are you using it to destroy? Are you using your mouth to build up yourself and tear others down? Is Satan using You to cause strife within the body of christ? Do you take delight in putting someone else in a negative light so that you can look better? Do you misread someone or misunderstand a persons actions and then go ahead to spread false information about that person based on your ignorance? Are you a tail bearer? And then what if someone is really acting badly? Or has really hurt you and treated you badly? are you justified as a christian to destroy that person with your words and to transfer tales of the persons misconduct to anyone that cares to listen? Are you doing satans work for him? Please examine yourself... God is light and in him is no darkness at all...1 John 1:5 Please look closely at your walk..to see if you are walking in the Light or in darkness.. Walking in Light is walking in Love.. We have been called into the ministry of love by God...of receiving his love and transferring it to others...not to a ministry of gossip and slander. I think the time has come for us as christians to put aside our Bibles, bumper stickers, lip services and Church programmes and really begin to show the fruit of christ in our everyday living... If You realize that God placed everyone around you on purpose, so that You can be a positive impact and a blessing to them...You will think of ways to help them get better..not trash talk them into hell... Growing up,My mum really helped Me in this area... She said“ Isi if you notice a flaw in someone or someone acts wrong, realize that God made you see it,not for you to condemn, feel superior to or slander the person, but For you to intercede for that person or talk to the person about it..either ways You should bring about a solution, and not compound the problem... Those words stuck.... If You must criticize someone, it is way more constructive to do it directly to them,at least that gives the person a chance to take your words and turn them into something positive.. Because if your criticisms never reaches the person You are criticizing, then what good can really come out of it? Remember that putting off someone elses candle, never makes yours shine brighter. So please people let us break this negative stronghold of Gossip and slander that has eaten so deep into the church.. We can do this by Using a simple but very effective method...I use it every other day and it is called the THINK principle. Before speaking about anyone to someone else ask yourself the following questions... -is this TRUE?do I have enough information about this situation?....even if it is true...is it worth repeating? -is it HELPFUL?it may be true...but is it compassionate?with the persons best interest at heart? -is it INSPIRING?it may be true..but is it worth repeating?is it harmful to the persons image?if it is,then You have no right saying it. Is it NECESSARY?will it do good to spread this along?is it necessary for other people to hear this? Is it KIND?..... Then lastly ask yourself how you would feel if someone else passes across exactly the same message about You.... If it passes this simple test, then by all means speak your mind... It would be nice if You put a watch on the words you say about others... But it would sure make the Devil mad if You take it a step further, by making a positive compliment about someone when You are tempted to say something negative.. Use your words to build lives.. Keep speaking God inspired positive words over your life and the lives of others... I can assure You that some years from now, you will be truly amazed at the wonderful life and environment You have built with the weapon of RIGHT SPEAKING. SPEAK RIGHT..... Mtt 12:36....“every idle word that Men shall speak, they shall give account of in the day of judgement”... Prov 11:9...“an hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour”... Lev 19:16...“you shall not go up and down as a talebearer among the people, neither shall You stand against the blood of Your neighbour.I am the Lord”...
