The year, Coláiste Iognáid Rowing Club (Jes) is celebrating 80 years of rowing. On Saturday 18th October, the club will hold a series of events - A history of the club will be launched by journalist, broadcaster and former Jes rower, Sean ORourke; the clubhouse will be re-dedicated as the Fr Eddie Diffely clubhouse in honour of the man who was the driving force behind rowing at the Jes for 50 years; and finally there will be a celebratory dinner that evening.
