The year is coming to a close; another year is about to start. Time flies and so must we. We cannot get bogged down in the murky waters of mundane concerns and lose sight of things eternal. Christmas has come. In no time, it shall be over together with the revelries that come along with the season. We have been enlightened, at the very least forewarned, about the intimate connection between beginning and end, captured somewhat despondently in the adage, the trouble of hello is goodbye, It is a lesson that has tempered many arrogant thoughts and caused some of us to wise up and others to crack up about the cold reality of a meeting up with farewell. Sad and tragic it might be, we could still view parting from another perspective though the way any human reality or event should be viewed, that is, a hopeful promise for a new beginning with The Lord and the people he entrusted to us...Fr.
