The year was 1969, in the summer, and I was coming home from work - TopicsExpress

The year was 1969, in the summer, and I was coming home from work one night when on 84th Street and Second Avenue in Manhattan there was a bar with its front door open and a song playing loudly from the juke box within. That song was Spinning Wheel by Blood, Sweat & Tears. I was hooked. So I went in and sat down and listened and was mesmerized by this group that fused jazz and blues and rock with a killer horn section. The song was written by the band’s lead singer David Clayton-Thomas. Been a fan of the group ever since. But this was the first song that seduced me so many years ago. https://youtube/watch?v=kK62tfoCmuQ
