The yr 2015 has been declared a yr of restoration by many prophecies. This is a good word for everyone who has been sat on, put down and his light made not to shine, by those above him or even Satan himself. God has promised to restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you.[Joel 2:25] One thing I love about God is this, “once his word has gone forth, he defends it and watches over it, to perform it as he said. [Jeremiah 1:12] When he says I will restore, he surely will restore. When Jacob worked for his father in-law Laban, he was taken advantage of in every area. He wished to have but nothing. Infact, Laban confessed “I have become wealthy, for the Lord has blessed me because of you. He then asked him, Tell me how much I owe you. Whatever it is, I’ll pay it. What wages do you want?” Laban asked again. Jacob replied, “Don’t give me anything. Just do this one thing, and I’ll continue to tend and watch over your flocks. Let me inspect your flocks today and remove all the sheep and goats that are speckled or spotted, along with all the black sheep. Give these to me as my wages. [Genesis 30:27-32] The question worthy asking is this,Did Laban perform this word?No way.he became crafty and treated Jacob badly.He then called his wives and said, “I see that your father’s attitude toward me is not what it was before, but the God of my father has been with me. You know that I’ve worked for your father with all my strength, yet your father has cheated me by changing my wages ten times. However, God has not allowed him to harm me. If he said, ‘The speckled ones will be your wages,’ then all the flocks gave birth to speckled young; and if he said, ‘The streaked ones will be your wages,’ then all the flocks bore streaked young. So God has taken away your father’s livestock and has given them to me. [Genesis 31:5-9]. Brethren, Imagine for a minute God giving you all the resources of that person who is putting you down, and even making you own what belonged to your employer. It may look difficult to us but God is the ultimate blesser God was not finished with Jacob yet. He gave him a dream. He says In breeding season I once had a dream in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted. The angel of God said to me in the dream, ‘Jacob.’ I answered, ‘Here I am.’ And he said, ‘Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you. I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.’ ” Saint of God, are you faithful to your work and employer and all along, men have been dragging you down, as they fight to make your work remain unrecognized? My prayer for you is this, May the God of Jacob remember you. God knows how to restore to us what the enemy has taken. This is our yr to move in to the blessings of God unhindered for its ayr of restoration. Amen.
