Thebe Kegomoditswe (Cyc Jouzy) was born a day after the day of the African child. He was raised in Selibe-Phikwe, with his two sisters and one brother: he is the last born. He actually started standard one in 2002 at Joseph Anderson Memorial Primary School, and the same year he discovered his talent of dancing, He used to dance in Road Shows and Campaigns throughout the primary school level. In 2007 he formed a crew with his two friends and they called it Mapitori (Pretorians) and the same year they joined Orange X-treme Tour at Selibe-Phikwe, which was touring around Botswana searching for talent, and they came out at position #4 in that tough competition. Cyc kept on dancing in talent shows, beauty contests, road shows and campaigns. In 2008, there came a boy called Stompie who was actually the first youngest artist in Botswana Cyc has ever seen, Stompie really played a great role in inspiring Cyc and helping him to believe that he can make it at that very young age since they were age mates. The following year (2009) He proceeded to school at Lebogang Junior School in Selibe-Phikwe. By then he was called Jozi due to his lifestyle and dance. He visited his cousin Freddy Mist Kegomoditswe who runs a studio (CYC TEMP RECORDS) in Gaborone, on that vacation Cyc was taught more about music and his brother Joseph Kegomoditswe taught him basics of producing beats (Cyc was 13 years old). He produced his first beat and recorded on it, with the hope that he can be like Stompie. That was the first time he recorded. The song was not released. 2010, He took transfer from Selibe-Phikwe to Palapye at Mmaphula Junior School. The first day he came Kast was performing and Jouzy did dance as a new student due to his confidence. He then created a group of 7 dancers called “7de Laan” which created and attracted a lot of fans for Jouzy. In Palapye got transformed to the Hip Hop lifestyle since it dominated the town. He kept on with the flow: sneaking into his sisters computer every weekend just to produce a beat. He kept on doing that: singing and rapping along various artists’ music: the likes of T.I, Eminem, Lil Wayne and A.T.I. He ended up co-founding a Hip Hop group with his classmates which was called “T-Money” acting as a producer. The following year (2011) he started learning how to rap, and he actually recorded his first Hip-Hop-RnB. song. Then later on he recorded more homemade tracks which were spread around through the Bluetooth device. In 2012, he proceeded to do his form4 in Palapye at Lotsane Senior School, the same year he got his first news paper article written by: Yvonne Ditlhase of The Midweek Sun paper, which played a great role in boosting Cyc Jouzy’s popularity and fan base. That’s when he became more serious and being taken serious with his music production. The same year he worked with: *Bishop L Marumo (who made a track with Apollo D produced by Cyc Jouzy), *Touch Motswak (who made a track produced by Cyc Jouzy), *Cool Nerrd (who made a single produced by Cyc Jouzy) *Cannon Joust (who recorded few songs at Rimzy Productions, produced by Cyc Jouzy) *Mist (who worked on a radio single with Breezy: produced by Cyc Jouzy), *Breezy (who made a track produced by Cyc Jouzy), In 2013, Cyc got born again because his high school class was dominated by Christians. He then decided to switch his talent in such a way that it will please GOD. He was then a member of a group with his friend Main Man (who was part of T-Money also) called Young, Gifted & Black: because they got born again the same time, the decided to re-brand their group and make it a Christian rap group, so they called it God Gang. They started recording homemade Christian rap songs uploaded them on the internet and people got interested. So they planned to keep the movement. Locally Cyc says he is inspired by acts like: Kennedy Thal, Vee Mampeezy, and Remmogo just to mention a few. Cyc says he has been identified by people internationally through songs he uploaded on the internet, people like: FAET BEATS (music producer based in America), DEMOLISH BEAT (music Production Company based in America) and other companies still in the USA. Cyc Jouzy has a growing fan base on the internet and other social networks, which he thinks is very good for a beginner. Currently Cyc Jouzy is trying to find a spot in the music industry doing various types of music: he’s currently a co-founder of the dangerous recently formed Christian rap group called GOD GANG and they have a radio single out as well as its video, he is also a founder of a Christian house music duo called Cyrita. Apparently Cyc Jouzy is acting as his own manager, as well as God Gang and Cyrita’s manager. Cyc Jouzy is on a mission to use music as a tool, to transform people out there so that they can come to Christ. He believes that with his passion, dedication and love for music, he will go far one day. He has a dream of doing it big in this music world and He believes that if its God’s plan He will surely make it at God’s time. WITH GOD EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE
