Their disdain reveals itself in all the ways by which they have made commuting to work a daily struggle for basic dignity. In an ideal world, I am walking through the city and taking the trains to get to where I want to go. It sounds absurd to say I consider myself lucky to have that option to drive / add to the carbon footprint of the planet / waste away in traffic.
