Theme - Israel Against D Amalekites Lectue 13- WALK IN AUTHORITY “And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.” -(Joshua 6: 4) When God commanded the priests to walk ahead of the Ark in the match around Jericho, He commanded them to bear rams’ horns. A ram’s horn is called ‘shofar’ in the Hebrew language. In Old Testament times, a shofar was a symbol of authority, strength, power and distinction. So as those priests got set to match round Jericho, they were meant to walk with authority, strength and power, and they were meant to walk with a mindset of distinction. If the walls of Jericho would come down crashing, the rams’ horns (being symbols of authority) were necessities. Friend, God says, in 2015, walk in authority. Walk in the power of God’s Spirit in you; speak with the consciousness of the divine authority you carry; exude the divine power and authority that God has given you; confront every attack and challenge that comes your way with a dose of power and authority; live like a true scion of a divine, eternal dynasty; live like one whose God is in charge. Declare God’s word with authority. This year, speak with authority; pray like one whose God is listening; when you engage in spiritual warfare, pray like one who has already gained victory through God. Exude confidence in all your dealings with God and men; live in the consciousness of God’s word; use your spiritual strength to take charge and be in charge. The priests walked round Jericho with ram’s horns in their hands, and the walls of Jericho collapsed. Every wall standing against you will collapse when you exude authority.
