Wednesday, 12-03-2014 Readings of the day: Jonah 3:1-10 Psalm 51:3-4, 12-13, 18-19 Luke 11:29-32 Reflections: This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it. except the sign of Jonah.- Luke 11:29 Do we like the people of Jesuss seek for signs before we believe? Do we seek for miracles before we have faith? Do we like the crowd not believe in the person of Jesus? This season of lent avails us the opportunity to ask ourselves the reason why we do believe. For to believe, is to illumine our reason with faith. For to not fly with faith, is to remove sun and water from the growth of plant, it wont last long before the plant wither away. With all our heart, after proper delving into ourselves, let us move close to Jesus with a contrite heart, to draw us nearer to the heart of the Father(for a contrite and humble heart, he will not spurn). The father who is rich in mercy and love is ever so wanting to draw us nearer to him, he loved us before we can ever think of loving him. It is a huge privilege for us to be his own. As we walk along in this time of lent, may God grant us more faith and may he have mercy on us, we ask this through Christ our Lord, amen. Peace and Love of Christ!
