Theme of the week (seen in multiple interactions with all people this week - not just patients but friends): In younger women seeking a life partner, the search may revolve around the need for stability/security (the white picket fence) and the need for excitement/thrills (the motorcycle). I dont know the answer, but I do know that its not an either/or type of choice - most young women (and men) want to experiment with the motorcycle - speed, change, excitement, thrills - but deep inside, most of them also want to settle down (eventually). Many women have regrets over past choices, or are in pain as a result of current choices. Pain arises when two partners who met in the motorcycle phase, and one wants to transition (with that partner) to white picket fence. These things mean different things to different people, and it happens regardless of the gender or orientation of your partner. I could go on. This is just one observation of the week.
