Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem - TopicsExpress

Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come let us rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and we will no longer be in disgrace" I also told them about the gracious hand of my God and what the king had said to me. They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work. But when Sanballet the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite offical and Gesham the Arab heard about it, they mocked and ridiculed us. "What is this you are doing?" they asked. "Are you rebelling against the king?" I answered them by saying, " The God of heaven will gives us success. We his servants will start rebuilding, but as for you, you have no share in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it. Nehemiah 2:17-20 When anyone ever get serious about their relationship with God the first thing to expect is opposition. People will say to you: You are too narrow, You are too extreme,You are too literal. They will tell you what will your friends say or anything else to step down to their level. What you must realize it is not what your friends think or the world thinks that counts. What counts is what God thinks. He wants you to be closer to Him, more conformed to His Son, and relying on His power. Anything that He calls you to do He will give you the power to do it-all to His glory. What about those whocome form satan to discourage you-because of Christ they have no power over you or place in your life.
