“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” – Matthew 28:18-20 The Great Commission- growing up in church I had often heard it taught, often dreamed of serving in far-off places, but never made the move to actually take the steps to follow God to these places. However, God has been working in my heart and causing me to ponder what his will is for me in my walk with Him. Through prayer I realize that he wants me to extend my service past what I do in Louisville to “make disciples of all nations”. I (Ashlie Stevens) am looking towards the mission field next summer through Southeast Christian Church. The cost of the trip is approximately $2400, and to raise funds I have set up the Facebook group Communications for a Cause. As a senior communications major at Bellarmine, with professional experience in event-planning, professional writing, graphic and web design, I would love to do some communications “odd jobs”, with all payments going toward this mission trip.
