Then is was Abrils turn now she is finished feeding her 9 pups she needed to see a traumatologist for she had a very strange gait in her right hind leg. We thought she could have serious problem with her hip but her X-rays show that all is clear and no signs of arthritis. What they discovered she has a massive tear in one of the major muscles in her leg, that supports the hit joint and explains why she moves this leg differently. Abril has very poor muscle tone maybe from been kept inside for a long time and then a sudden explosive movement or running fast will have caused this injury. We dont know why she ended up in the storm drain with her pups she wasnt microchipped so we cant locate her previous owner. So her treatment program is steady walking on the lead and medication muscle injuries take a long time to heal she is currently sleeping off the sedation she had, in our recovery room..... well our bedroom
