Then on Friday my brother Max and I went to take flowers to my moms grave at the Coachella Valley Cemetery and I found out that Frank Capra is buried in the same section as my mom. I love Frank Capra and I love knowing that he and my mom are in the same resting place. Capra became one of Americas most influential directors during the 1930s, winning three Oscars as Best Director. Among his leading films was It Happened One Night (1934), You Cant Take It With You (1938), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) and Its a Wonderful Life (1946). Im amazed at the simplicity of his gravestone. He is buried next to his wife.
