Then out of the corner of my eye, a lion leaped out of the grass, - TopicsExpress

Then out of the corner of my eye, a lion leaped out of the grass, straight over the broken coconuts, sailing through the air with his paws stretched forward. I thought my time had come, when in an instant his paws began to tuck under his body straight against his ribcage. The bird of fur sailed over our open gaping faces and dove head first into the heap of sugar cane rhine behind us. A loud crunch let out as his enormous body buried into the heap. The Lion bird could be herd sucking the sweetness through his big fierce teeth. We both looked at each other, shot to our feet and ran like dear toward the workers. No one ever believed us when we told them but to this day we will swear on our lives that if anyone thought the fearsome lion a fool for a kill, we knew better that the lion would always go for the sugar first. And that my friends is how we learned that we should always offer sweets to god. A god can tear limb from limb, part oceans, raise the dead, cure disease, and make lions fly. So, just in case you find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, a bit of sweetness might be just enough to save your life.
