The opportunities can be either a blessing, by sending positive images/messages, or a curse, when the participants clearly fail to remember, they have a responsibility to: GOD, themselves and their fans, to represent themselves in exampliary fashion, (Weve got enough ratchet TV). For example, tonight on the RHOA, one of the cast members called another halfbreed, (what was she thinking)? The statement was politically, socially and morally wrong!!! Whats potentially dangerous? This cast member may have a fan base (not for long at the rate shes going), who may be negatively impacted or worse influenced by her behavior. She should also be cognisant that many of her future directors, producers and current sponsors of RHOA may be multi racial. So not only was the comment vile and sophomoric, it just wasnt very smart. It makes me wonder... Is this the reason why African Americans are getting so many opportunities on Reality TV? Has this genre become the new minstrel show?
