Theories please: why do men generally find it okay and even amusing to joke around about stupid Barry Fruendel and his voyerism while women, generally find such jokes horribly inappropriate and, worse, capitilize on such jokes by using their appearance as opportunities to deliver strident, obnoxious lectures and to make sweeping declarations about the swinish nature of men (without seeming even to realize the jokes are about Barry Fruendel, ie, he and his creepy habit are the butts of the jokes, and that such jokes, in their small way actually help protect women via ridiculing their attackers) I want thoughtful and legit answers please.
