There I are guide lines for the conservation of historic places in Canada and that is preservation, rehabilitation and restoration .I hope that they can use this to save the hermitage. Too many historic places are being neglected and torn down and we are losing so much of our heritage. Too many people just are not aware of it and dont realize that they can be part of a group that is trying to save part of history. This is a place I hung out when I was a teenager and we actually gave bottles and dishes we found to the museum there.I could tell you lots of stories about this place but right now we are trying to save this place from complete destruction. It has been so neglected over the years and it is a shame. This place has been on ghost hunters and other TV shows because of strange occurrences that have gone on there and I have witnessed it myself. My friend is a descendant of this place and seeing it being neglected like this is breaking her heart, She use to play in what is the museum part of the hermitage. There is a lot of history in this house and it should be saved. Money his needed to help preserve and maybe restore what is left of the ruins. Please help and Auntie Elma will rest in piece..
