There IS a White House dot gov petition to pardon Marissa Alexander, the young woman in Florida who was sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot into the wall of her home to ward off her abusive husband. Or does Stand Your Ground only count if you are white or male or both?... Please, if you feel as I do that no matter how you look at it, this is a miscarriage of justice, please consider signing the petition. And, if you have not yet signed up at petitions.whitehouse.gov, please do so. Call me naive, but I feel better voicing my concerns rather than just complaining about the government.
